“Who is Plan-it Youth?” Alex, student.
- The teacher managing Plan-it Youth in each school works closely with the Principal, mentor team and students in that school, supported by a volunteer mentor team leader/contact mentor.
- Mentors and teachers work closely with the Plan-it Youth Hunter Central Coast Project Officers.
- All participants have the opportunity to contribute to policies, raise issues and make suggestions through your mentor representative on the Plan-it Youth Strategy Group.
- Plan-it Youth Hunter Central Coast Strategy Group sets and manages regional Plan-it Youth priorities.
- The Strategy Group includes representatives from major stakeholders and NSW Department of Education and Community.
- The Plan-it Youth Hunter Project Officers are employed by the NSW Department of Education and Community.
- Other team members include mentor trainers from TAFE Outreach, sponsors and supporters who contribute in-kind and/or financial support.
- There is plenty of scope for expansion of Plan-it Youthin the Hunter/Central Coast region. There are a total of 26 schools currently operating in Hunter/Central Coast Region of NSW DEC .
